Anthony Joshua says Deontay Wilder’s only weapon is a powerful right hand and is vowed to brutally expose his American rival if he finally shares the ring.
Wilder wants to resuscitate talks for an undisputed world heavyweight title clash against Joshua, if he regains the WBC title in a third fight with Tyson Fury in Las Vegas on July 24.
But Joshua dismissed Wilder as a serious threat to his WBA, IBF and WBO titles, insisting the Alabama man has already shown his limits in a loss to Fury last February.
âHe’s not an elite level fighter in my opinion,â Joshua said. Sky Sports News.
âHe’s good. It’s the heavyweights, so they always know that a punch can change the tide of a fight.

âBut I’ve never, ever seen in the heavyweight division a fighter go to war with one weapon, that’s what they say is his right hand.
“When you get to the top level? Believe me, it doesn’t last. It doesn’t work.
“As we’ve seen now with some elite level fighter fights, he fights at the highest level, and a lot more of us are just waiting for this opportunity to kick his ass.”
Wilder suggested that an “apology” had already been made to prevent a fight against Joshua, who is preparing for a mandatory WBO title defense against Oleksandr Usyk, with Tottenham Hotspur Stadium scheduled to host the fight in September.
“Most definitely, hands down [I want the Joshua fight], Wilder said Air sports.
“Without any excuse, no obligation, nothing in the way.
âAs I see it, they’re already making excuses. They’ve already planned a warrant in advance.
“No one really wants to fight someone like me, and I don’t blame them.”
Predicting a KO win over Joshua, Wilder said: “In a devastating way.”
Joshua pointed to his record as proof that he’s ready to take on any opponent, saying Air sports: “This is my first time talking about Deontay Wilder, so I don’t know what excuses he thinks I’m making.
âI’m a flashback fighter. Check the resume, I’ve been with all of them. New school and old school, and there’s still a lot to do. I’m fighting a great fighter in Usyk.
âI’ll fight them all. Wilder is just another in the pecking order, no problem.
“I don’t know what excuses he’s talking about.
âTalking is cheap, it’s the cheapest thing to buy on Earth, it’s talking.
âI’m an elite level fighter. I’m not one of those tomato boxes he knocked out.
“He better watch what he says and verify reality, because when the day comes for me and him to face, I know what I’m capable of.”
