Blue Sky Network launched a new dual-mode data management solution called SkyLink for land, air, sea and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. It offers both IridiumCertus service and local GSM / LTE connectivity for continuous sensor reporting, asset usage, IoT monitoring and two-way messaging.

Skylink said the software and hardware setup was designed to capture and stream information from any location and display it on a secure online portal. The lightweight, multi-battery hardware is designed for any fixed mount, portable or mobile application and offers a range of service configurations. An optional rechargeable backup battery offering can be used for off-grid sites, unpowered vessels, power outages or remote operations.

Bryan Hartin, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Iridium, said this solution will make enterprise voice, remote monitoring and data management easier and more affordable with reliable coverage anywhere in the world.

“SkyLink is multifaceted and configurable in form and function,” said Tucker Morrison, CEO of Blue Sky Network, “It is a solution born out of the operational needs of our partners, customers and potential customers. We’re excited to see SkyLink come to life and support remote missions around the world. “
