Dates, kick-off times and host cities – here’s the full AFCON 2021 schedule.
The tournament, originally scheduled to be played in June and July 2021, takes place in Cameroon from January 9 to February 6, 2022, with sky sports showing all 52 matches live.
Twenty-four teams participate. The action kicked off with the Cameroon hosts beating Burkina Faso in Yaoundé and will culminate in the final on February 6 at the same Olembe stadium.
Tuesday at the CAN
The final Group C game against Comoros has become a must-win for Ghana, who could suffer a surprise early exit after failing to earn a win in two previous fixtures.
A bad-tempered draw with Gabon, who snatched a late equaliser, could have dealt a decisive blow to Ghana, especially as Benjamin Tetteh was sent off following a post-match brawl.
Gabon, even without the absentee Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, sit in second place but will face Group C leaders Morocco in a game that will also decide the fate of Ghana.
Earlier in the day, Senegal can allay any lingering fears of elimination with a victory over Malawi, who sit just one point below in Group B.
Rwandan referee Salima Mukansanga will lead an all-female line-up of match officials as Guinea seek to finish top of Group B with victory over Zimbabwe.
