Dua Lipa Says She Is ‘Horrified’ By Collaborator DaBaby After Her Homophobic Comments | Ents & Arts News

Dua Lipa added her voice to rapper DaBaby’s criticism after his seemingly homophobic comments on stage this weekend.

DaBaby, who features on Lipa’s Levitating track, has been widely criticized for his comments last weekend, where he told members of the public to turn their phone lights up – unless they are HIV positive or they are gay men who have committed sex acts in parking lots.

Write on Instagram, Dua Lipa said: “I am surprised and horrified by DaBaby’s comments.

“I really don’t recognize this as the person I’ve worked with. I know my fans know where my heart is and I’m 100% with the LGBTQ community.

“We must unite to fight the stigma and ignorance surrounding HIV / AIDS.

In addition to apparently pointing to those who are suffering from the virus, DaBaby has also mistakenly claimed that it “will kill you in two or three weeks.”

Medicines have been around for decades and allow people living with HIV to live long, safe and healthy lives.

The rapper, real name Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, responded to criticism earlier in the week saying, “What I do at a live show is for the audience of the live show.

“It will never translate correctly for someone watching a little five or six second clip of their fucking crib on their phone. It just doesn’t work that way.
