Grainne Seoige will participate in a new series of Dance with the stars of RTE

Gráinne Seóige will participate in the revisited version of Dance with the stars of RTE.

Sunday World can exclusively reveal that the Galway-born presenter has signed up to be one of 11 celebrities recruited to kick off the hit show’s 2022 series after it was canceled earlier this year due to the pandemic.

The previous season was shortened and adjusted when the outbreak halted filming, leading 2fm DJ Lottie Ryan and professional partner Pasquale La Rocca to lift the trophy a week ahead of schedule in a revised format.

This season will see many changes on the set, as the public will be barred from attending the early stages of the competition with options to introduce reduced and socially distant seats later in the series.

There has been a lot of speculation in recent days about who will be named in the line-up with Ronan Keating’s daughter, Missy, expected to be in it.

She is expected to be joined by RTÉ presenter Aengus MacGrianna, comedian Neil Delamere and Paralympic athlete Ellen Keane.

Jennifer Zamparelli and Nicky Byrne have also both been confirmed as presenters for the next season. They’ve been at the helm of the show since season three, when Zamparelli replaced original host Amanda Byram.

There is, however, a change in the roster of judges with Julian Benson replaced by American-born professional dancer Arthur Gourounlian, who will take his place alongside seasoned judges Brian Redmond and Loraine Barry.

Irish fans can recognize Arthur from Big Brother star Brian Dowling’s social media posts as the couple got married at the Powerscourt Hotel in 2015.

We contacted RTE last night to verify Seóige’s participation, but they refused to confirm it.
