Kim Kardashian says court brother Rob was ‘puffy and red’ after 2016 fight with Blac Chyna | Ents & Arts News

Kim Kardashian has testified that she doesn’t remember trying to kill the reality show starring her brother Rob Kardashian and then-fiancée Blac Chyna.

Chyna sues the Kardashian family for $100 million (£77million), accusing them of defaming her and convincing producers and the E! network to cancel a 2016 Keeping Up With the Kardashians spin-off show titled Rob & Chyna.

The court case, including testimony from Kardashian’s mother Kris Jenner and sister Kylie Jenner, largely focused on a fight between Chyna and Rob Kardashian on Dec. 15, 2016, which led to the eventual split. of the couple and the cancellation of the show.

Chyna’s attorney, Lynne Ciani, asked Kardashian if she saw any injuries on her brother that day and she responded by saying, “I just remember at that time he was super emotional and everything is really blurry.

“I remember it was really red but I don’t remember anything specific, just that it looked bloated and red.”

kardashians spoke for an hour Tuesday in a Los Angeles courtroom and admitted to demanding that Chyna be kept away from Keeping Up With the Kardashians after hearing that she had abused her brother.

“I won’t go into a toxic work environment,” Ms. Kardashian said of her refusal to work with Chyna. “On my own show, I have the power to do that.”

The reality star spent much of her testimony saying “I don’t remember” – but she is the biggest star to testify in the trial so far.

She caused a stir when she walked from the gallery to the witness box wearing a dark gray pinstripe suit with white sneakers.

Kardashian saw a series of late 2016 and early 2017 texts from Ms. Ciani.

Her name appeared on the text messages, but Kardashian said she did not recall sending them, although she did not deny their likely legitimacy.

In a text exchange with a producer at Bunim Murray, which produced both shows, Kardashian expressed anger that Chyna could still be filmed on her show.

She acknowledged that “it definitely sounds like something I would say.”

“I think we all need to take a break from filming at this point until we figure out what’s going on. She won’t be on our show,” the text read.

“So if you’re going to film with Rob and Chyna, you’re going to lose the Kardashians and the Jenners.”

The exchange included several requests about Chyna being filmed on “her” show, but Kardashian insisted it was a quirk of technology.

“It’s clearly voice-driven, like everything I write that’s so long, and it sometimes makes ‘our’ like ‘her,'” she said.

The Kardashians had no power over the series

According to the reality TV star, the texts showed that she and her family had no power over the show, with one message: “No one listens to us, no one respects us”.

However, the family may stop appearing on the show, with Kardashian testifying that she had a right “as a cast member to say we really need a break.”

“I do not remember”

Kardashian was repeatedly asked if she told her sisters to tell the executives about the attack and she said she didn’t remember doing so.

“I know you want my answer to change,” Kardashian said. “You asked the same question four times, I wish I had a better answer for you, but I can’t remember.”

Asked if she told Kylie Jenner to email about it, Kardashian replied, “I don’t control my sisters’ lives, and I don’t have a conversation with them before. than they send e-mails.”

A video deposition from Ryan Seacrest, the American Idol host who co-created Keeping Up With the Kardashians with Kris Jenner, was shown to the jury later in the hearing.

Mr Seacrest said his role as executive producer on Rob & Chyna did not include any duties. He said his deal with the Kardashians automatically gave him the title for any spinoff, but he promoted the series, including on his radio show.

Asked about his first impression of Chyna, he said “she was bold and memorable”.

“Do Bold, Memorable People Make Good TV?” Ms. Ciani asked her in the video.

He replied, “Sometimes yes and sometimes no. In the episode I saw, I had to think yes.”

“Why?” Ms. Ciani asked. Mr Seacrest replied: ‘Because I kept promoting it.’
