A developer has revealed plans for a 30-story tower comprising hundreds of houses at Salford Quays.
As part of the Manchester-based CERT property’s proposals, a low-rise 1980s office building would be replaced with a ‘striking’ 30-story tower block containing 261 studios, 126 one- and two-bedroom apartments, and 15 penthouses with view of Salford Quays.
CERT said the concept of community living centers on residents having their own contemporary and designer living space, while sharing common facilities and technologies to create a “thriving community environment.”

If the plans are approved, all units will be available for rent with invoices included. The development would include a coffee shop and lounge, a restaurant, fitness and yoga studios, a collaborative workspace, game and cinema rooms, an auditorium and a rooftop terrace.
It would also house Salford’s first and only sky bar on the 30th floor – overlooking The Quays and MediaCity, and open to residents and the public.
Howard Lord, General Manager of CERT Property, said, “We are offering a new way of life, not just a place to live, but a whole lifestyle choice. Our concept of community life is designed to recreate the community spirit of the neighborhood of yesteryear, in a contemporary context.
