Johnson should ‘leave’ because he’s been ‘mean’, schoolgirl says
A sassy schoolgirl who went viral for her wise words about why Boris Johnson was ‘bad’ was today hailed as the next Prime Minister as she appeared on TV to say he ‘must go “.
Five-year-old Layla Somani went viral last week with her astute explanation of the nation’s fury at the Tory lockdown parties in Downing Street, which she shared with her grandparents Kanti Somani, 76, and Kusun Somani, 73 years old.
The girl didn’t hold back when she told them Mr Johnson ‘isn’t Prime Minister anymore, he’s a bad Prime Minister’.
And today the wise beyond her years performed a star trick on Sky News, where presenter Sarah-Jane Mee asked her what the Prime Minister had done wrong.
Smart Layla simply replied, “He went to a quarantine party.”

Layla also confirmed that she herself followed the rules during the lockout, and her fourth birthday party took place on Zoom.
Sarah-Jane then asked if Layla had forgiven the PM for the holidays. The thoughtful girl replied “yes” and said it was because “he gave everyone an injection on the arm”, in reference to the vaccination program.
However, when asked what was to happen to Mr Johnson, little Layla didn’t mince words when she said: ‘I think he should go because he’s been naughty’.

Parents Devina Somani, 37, and Nick Somani, 41, filmed the fierce monologue and sat next to her today as she delivered her scathing verdict.
Her comments left many online hailing her as the “next PM”.
One wrote, “Layla for Prime Minister! She doesn’t need luck, she knows the rules.”
Another wrote: “Fantastic! Layla speaks more sense than Boris. I would vote for her to be the next Prime Minister.”

A third added: ‘God bless her, she has more sense than adult politicians, especially our Prime Minister.’
In last week’s video, which has been viewed thousands of times, Layla told her doting grandparents: ‘Boris Johnson told everyone to stay home, but in lockdown he just went down at a party, in confinement. He was mean, so he had to go to the naughty center to tell everyone he was sorry for going to a quarantine party.”

She continued: “Now he can’t be prime minister and he can’t go home so he’s not prime minister anymore. So someone else is prime minister and there will be a good prime minister. minister, but Boris Johnson is no longer prime minister, he is a bad prime minister”.
Mr Johnson can be forgiven by Layla, but he still faces calls to resign after persistent allegations of parties breaking the rules in Number 10 and other accusations that he lied to Parliament.

Yesterday he claimed ‘no one told me’ that an alcoholic lockdown party in the Downing Street garden had broken Covid rules.
He broke cover for the first time in days to insist he had not lied to Parliament about the May 2020 event, which he admitted to attending for 25 minutes.
Last week the Prime Minister admitted to MPs that he briefly attended a BYOB rally in No 10 Garden on May 20, 2020 – but tried to pretend he thought it was a work event.
