Who is Mark Pougatch, where did he work before being ITV presenter for Euro 2020?


PRESENTER Mark Pougatch tops ITV’s major football and rugby coverage.

The 53-year-old replaced Adrian Chiles as ITV’s chief football presenter six years ago to cover Champions League and England matches and will host their coverage of Euro 2020.

He has hosted ITV’s Euro 2016 coverage and has also featured Six Nations rugby since 2016, as well as the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

Before that, although he passed TWENTY-TWO YEARS, where he cut his teeth by presenting for BBC Radio 5 Live.

He also joined BT Sport in the summer of 2016 to host the show. BT sports score, to compete with Sky Sports‘ Gillette Soccer on Saturday.

Pougatch will present live ITV coverage of Euro 2020 along with fellow presenters Seema Jaswal and Reshmin Chowdhury, and they will be joined by Ian Wright, Gary Neville, Eni Aluko, Ashley Cole and Patrick Vieira who will work as experts for tournament.

In addition to ITV’s live coverage, Pougatch is set to host twelve Euro 2020 special episodes of the ITV Football Show podcast alongside Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend.

Addressing ITV’s live coverage of Euro 2020 on what he most expects from the tournament, Pougatch said:

“Fans, I don’t know how many we’re going to have, but we’ve seen with a few games at the end of the season how much of a difference it makes.

“I also think that certainly in the UK matches, I think every fan is going to almost incorporate the body of the two or three who aren’t allowed to be there and I think I certainly expect the England v Scotland sounds like there are almost 80,000 out there. “

Euro 2020 kicks off on June 11 as Turkey take on Italy in Group A, but ITV’s first live game will not take place until the next day, with Pougatch set to present the Group B clash between Belgium and Russia.

It kicks off at 8 p.m. on June 12.
